Having graduated in architecture at the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Lausanne, Silvia soon rediscovered her passion for languages and completed additional studies to qualify as a conference interpreter. She subsequently undertook further training in terminology, corporate communications and business administration. Silvia has many years of experience working in a variety of management positions on both the client and supplier sides of the language services sector, and as a consultant and trainer in terminology and translation. Her core competencies lie in forming and leading teams of translators to develop solutions for corporate language projects and in optimising linguistic processes.

Silvia has been certified member of the Swiss association of translators, terminologists and interpreters ASTTI since 2006. She also served as Vice President (2008-2011) and Board member (2007-2022) of ASTTI. As an ECQA-certified terminology trainer, she has led numerous ECQA Certified Terminology Manager certification training sessions. She is fluent in English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.

Orianne is a young, highly qualified professional who recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Languages at the ZHAW. She speaks German and French at a native level and brings valuable language skills that are essential in our global working environment. Orianne also has experience in translation, proofreading and post-editing.
She will actively support us in project coordination and digital marketing activities.

From now on, Jaime Calvé will be supporting us as an external expert for all questions and matters relating to the interpreting services offered by CB Multilingual. Jaime has been an interpreter for German, English, Spanish and French for many years and has also been passing on his knowledge to the next generation as a lecturer at the ZHAW and elsewhere since 1994.

A true luminary in the Swiss interpreting industry, he has a broad network of interpreters and knows every interpreting technique inside out. A family man and nature lover, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and hiking in the mountains.

Marta Cano

External Expert Interpreting Services

Born in Colombia and a British citizen, Marta is a true citizen of the world, having lived for many years in both England and Germany. She has taught English and Spanish, including at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne. As well as a degree in languages, she also has a diploma in business and finance.

As a qualified and experienced conference interpreter with an international career spanning more than 30 years, Marta will support us in all practical aspects of interpreting.
