Since 5 August 2021, art enthusiasts have had the opportunity to visit and admire an art exhibition featuring works of concrete art from the private collection of the author and art collector Sybil Albers, at the Mark Müller Art Gallery in Zurich.

The book “Die Sammlerin Sybil Albers” [“The Collector Sybil Albers”] was published to coincide with the opening of the exhibition.

This portrait of Sybil Albers (1935-2019) reminds us of the collector as a culturally active, energetic and enthusiastic woman. For over thirty years, from 1977 to 2008, she dedicated her time to collecting constructive, concrete, conceptual and minimalist art, and to publishing bibliophile books in ‘Verlag 3’. Her collections were on display from 1990 to 2000 at the Espace de l’Art Concret in Mouans-Sartoux, France. This publication combines interviews with long-time employees of the Espace de l’Art Concret, as well as contributions by art scholars and artists from their circle of friends and acquaintances.

CB Multilingual (CBM) was able to make an important contribution to the successful publication of the book, which was published as a tribute to the collector and the Espace de l’Art Concret on its thirtieth anniversary. The publisher and daughter of the art collector Ines Bauer entrusted CBM with the proofreading of the entire book. Proofreading the almost 400 pages in French and German took several months and brought us at CBM closer to concrete art and its many facets.

After completing this exciting project, CBM also attended the vernissage on 5 August 2021.
