Summarised translations

For some documents, such as police records or supporting documents for a request for mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, a summary translation is often required rather than a translation of the entire text. In other words: only the essential content needs to be translated. In this case, our legal linguists analyse the document in detail and summarise the most important content in the desired target language according to your wishes and specifications.

Our company has been providing translation, interpretation, terminology services as well as other value-adding language services in several languages for federal authorities in Switzerland for years.

At our Zurich-based translation agency, professional native-speaker translators with expert knowledge of the legal systems involved – including sworn translators – with a very good knowledge of the legal system of the source and target text take care of the legal translations, which are then proofread to check the content and language. Our pool of experts includes many accredited translators and interpreters at the High Court of the Canton of Zurich. We call on specialist lawyers with the corresponding language skills, depending on the project and customer requirements.

Our Managing Director, Silvia Cerrella Bauer, is an accredited court interpreter at the Supreme Court of the Canton of Zurich and is highly knowledgeable about how the Swiss legal system works. She has been working regularly for many years as an interpreter and translator for investigating authorities and the courts, and has built up a large network of specialist translators over the years.
